Meet Dr. Hootie

Dr. Hootie is the office mascot of Natural Alternatives Center and is often used to tell stories - through images and words - about various topics regarding endometriosis, health and wellness, and self care! Sometimes you will see her and her pals telling a story together.

Dr Hootie as our clinic mascot came about because of Dr Stephanie’s maiden / now middle name. In German Huth is pronounced ‘Hoot’ so in her family everyone calls everyone “Hootie”. Dr Stephanie’s cousin gave her father a Hootie Beanie baby. While the original is lost (we feel it will turn up in Dr Stephanie’s kids’ toy bins at their father’s house some day). Dr Stephanie felt that Hootie would be the perfect mascot for Natural Alternatives and the current Dr Hootie was found (on EBay of course) and given a home at our office.
